The York Lions Club was chartered
in 1953 and has provided four District
Governors to the District; and multiple
Zone and Region Chairs.
Our current major projects include our
annual White Cane drives(twice a year)
our 10 Mile and 5K Races (Battlefield Race for
Sight), Blind Made Products sales
and our annual Blind Fishing Trip for the Penninsula.. See our calendar.
Our next major scheduled project is hosting the 10 mile Battlefield Run for Sight in November 2008 at the Yorktown Battlefield. If you are a runner and would like to join our race you can contact us by clicking here.
We have eyeglass pickup boxes at Walmart, York Food Lions, Dr Guhl's office, and Roses
